So I'm taking the car in tomorrow but no loaner
I have to take the car there and they'll have to drive me back home and now have to find a way to go back there in the afternoon. Really no problem but why should I be inconvenienced when they focked up in the first place? I'm really having second thoughts about having them rectify their screw up. Somewhere Murphy is laughing 'cause I'll prolly wind up with 10x more scratches than when I bring it in.
I'll keep everybody posted...

A lot of the time, the dealers also put a gloss finish on the car at delivery to cover up the scratches. This happened to me.
I bought my car at South Motors in Miami a while back. I instructed the dealer 50 times not to put the South emblem on the trunk, which is a cheap white sticker. I even called them the night before delivery to remind them. I knew that I was being a pest, but I wanted to make sure that there was no miscommunication. Of course, when I picked up the car, there was a buffed shadow of the emblem on the car. They put the emblem on, and then tried to cover it up by buffing it off (they did a bad job which left a shadow).
The gloss finish also covered all of the other scratches.
I made sure that I scored them with "2"s on my customer survey for the delivery. Apparently, if they do not get "5"s, they do not get bonuses, etc.
So much "goodwill" is lost by the actions of the cheap labor that these dealers hire to prep the cars. Most the time, the dealers simply do not teach their workers that they are dealing with a $50,000+ vehicle (which comes with $50,000 expectations). This problem can be solved by good management.
