Congrats on your puchase.
I ordered my car on 7/12/04, yes, 4 months ago. I told them I wanted to wait for 05, and can't leave country in October. So, Nov. 5 is my pick up date. By the time the car is redelivered to me. It could be Jan 05 which is almost 6 month after I put my deposit in.
I hope this will make you feel better regarding the wait.

Ahhh I can't handle the waiting! They should have live video feed of them building your car... that'd be awesome
