Thanks for the the information. I noticed that the sport suspension is the same option in the 550 and 535. When the MY08 was released 2 years ago, there was a distinction in the suspension offered between the 2. Below is the info from Product Planning and Strategy Dealer Bulletin for MY08:
550i Sport Package
For MY 2008 the 550i Sport Package receives additional enhancements. In addition to Active Roll Stabilization, sport leather steering wheel, shadowline trim and multi-contour seats, the 550i new optional Sport Package includes:
? Sport Suspension with modified calibration
? Differentiated Exhaust pipes with a sportier sounding exhaust
? 19? Double Spoke Alloy wheels and non-run flat tires (Note: wheels contain M badging)
? Aerodynamic Kit that contains body colored side rocker panels and body colored front and rear bumpers
? The Sport Package is available in 7 colors: Alpine White, Jet Black, Titanium Silver Metallic, Space Gray Metallic, Platinum Gray Metallic, Deep Sea Blue Metallic and Carbon Black Metallic. Carbon Black Metallic is exclusive to 550i models equipped with the Sport Package
Did they downgrade the suspension between MY08 and MY10? or is this marketing to promote the MY08?

BMWs Value Pac (ZVP), introduced in the new 3/1/09 price list is a great deal for these times.
As I was calculating the final price for my new 535xiT (delivery now estimated for 4/2), I found that the MSRP had dropped by about $2,850, as Col Wx, Leather and iPod adapter (ZCW, LC, 6FL) are included in the Value Pac(this also applies to all 2010 5s with X-Drive).
Non-X-drives get just the leather and iPod (a $1,950 MSRP value), and the 550 gets the leather and iPod plus Navigation (for a total $3,850).
BMW is clearly putting many free-bees in the car to move the iron.
NB: No, I did not negotiate from list prices, but I have used MSRP for comparability's sake.
