Hi - just a bit chuffed today - so thought I'd send you a pic ! -
Absolutely thrilled with this !
It's far far better than I had expected ..

Seats ( memory ), Trim, Looks, Handling and refinement ara all far in excess of anticipated!
I Love the performance - which even "running in" exceeds the previous car a V6 slk 320.
In sport mode - steptronic 30mph - 100mph is incredible for a car of this size. ( It sounds a bit tractor like from the outside on start up - to be expected I guess - but didn't say that in the brochure !)

I think the 18 inch wheels help the handling The ride is superb even with the run flats ( don't believe everything you read !)- though I got far less than the expected 40mpg on the miles so far!!! May be it will improve with a few miles under her belt when run in!

Std Sound system is awesome and I love I drive - should have paid the extra for the bluetooth though - you can send / receive texts on the screen ...
I love the way the systems are integrated - for example reverse near to an object on the nearside - and the beep sound from PDC comes from the rear near side speaker!

If I can find a way to post more than one pic - I can show the Auburn Dakota ! ( Thansk ISUK !)

Best Regards Stu
PS All I neede now is a GPS speed camara sensor integrated with I Drive too!

stu, congrats! What colour is your car? I have the same style 124 wheels as yours and mine is Sapphire Black.

Stu-
Great looking car...it's a shame they installed the steering wheel on the wrong side.

What's your interior trim? is it Titanium II? Doesn't look like any of the wood trims?

Do you have a closer photo of the trim?

Stu, nice one. I'm looking forward to picking mine up next week! Was very interested to hear what you said about the performance of the car being better than the SLK320. My previous motor was an SLK230 so I am well chuffed that you mentioned that. Mind you, I'm already on 6 points, so do I need any more oomph??

Nice Stu!

Did you get straight or pointed down tailpipes? Hoping for straight on mine which should just be being built.

Can't wait

Stu
Looks great. I agree about the ride on run flats - like yourself I can't understand why most of the car mags go on about it as I am sure most BMW drivers prefer a suspension set up that errs on the firmer side. Very jealous of the auburn leather as it really sets off the interior - my anthracite standard cloth is to be honest a bit cheap looking and not as nice as cloth that I've had on previous BMW's.
Happy motoring.
