Hey guys,

Would it be a good idea to buy cars from dealers that was previously sold at Auctions?
I am worried that there will be some mechanical error that I don't know.
Anyone has any experience of buying auction cars?

Thanks guys,,

I bought my CPO 545i last year, and my dealer bought it through an auction. It had come off of a lease and the dealer just auctioned it and many others off of their lot, and I've never had a problem to speak of since. So I'd say go ahead with the car if you like it and it covered by a warranty!!

BMW and other high line brands move off-lease cars and excess inventory through the auctions often. When considering a pre-owned vehicle, a thorough pre-purchase inspection can help reduce the number of unpleasant surprises post-purchase. Most legitimate dealers will permit the car to be taken to an independent mechanic or brand-specific dealer for such an inspection.

I've found it the best $100 I could spend before plunking down $$$$$$$ to purchase a [pre-owned] car - even one under warranty.

+1 on the comments above. As long as warranty is intact and you have the car thoroughly inspected.

The car is 2007 model. The warranty is still applied for another 3 years.
Do you guys think I should get the vehicle?
Thanks guys..
I appreciate it.

The warranty clock starts ticking at the "in service" date - Model year '07s were sold beginning mid-2006! A Carfax and copy of BMW's warranty / service records [get a dealer to run the VIN] will verify dates and alert to (any) problems with the car.

Thanks Luigi.
I'll keep them in mind. When I checked the carfax, The car was serviced once before its first delivery.
It was sold at Auction at pacific region with 5305 miles on it. No Accident or Damage reported to Carfax.
Thanks for your information.
Yoko.
