I expect you could buy this from another dealer without any problems. Tell the dealer you are taking your business elsewhere unless they sort it out

whihr - your dealer sounds like a complete ignoramus. I'm so sorry for you . The info above is correct - can be taken out until 1st service and price increases in July .
I'd be tempetd to pay his price then subsequently, perhaps 2 weeks later , issue a county court claim for the excess over ?750 and add ?200 for my trouble . Bloody dealers - so frustrating - the cars are superb though.

Sorry if the jpg is too big. My first time attaching a file on this site.
Hope it convinces the dealer to allow you to take up the service inclusive.

BMW530

Many thanks for the brochure - I will take this in when I visit my dealer next Tuesday.

As to which dealer I use I have tried alll of them in my area:

Scotthall, Leeds - used to use them for servicing on my E39 but after 12 (yes 12 visits!) to resolve a broken seat sub frame I gave up. I did try them when I was looking to buy my new 530D but they did not even return my calls (after 3 attempts to get through to someone in sales)

Victoria, Harrogate - after problems with Scotthall Leeds, I moved to Victoria Harrogate. My E39 had a broken injector after 3 years/65k miles (out of warranty). Injector was seized in cylinder head, eventually all 6 injectors were replaced after having to have the head removed (at a cost of ?2000+) only to have 2 injectors fail again after 4-weeks! (BMW GB after a long fight paid for the parts and I had to pay ?650 labour). After compleley breaking down the 2nd time and then being towed into the dealer, my car did not run correctly. I took it back in and they could not find a problem - a week later I found an 18" screwdriver belonging to the service technician wedged between the engine and the front suspension (engine had lifted off the engine mountings and all the vibrtaion was being passed straight through the car!). Result was a very embarrassed service manager!

Now with Almondbury, Huddersfield who I bought my 530D from 6 weeks ago. Dont seem to have much idea when it comes to service (particularly the service inclusive package). My car went in last week for a software upgrade (to resolve a couple of issues I had reported). In all day and finally got a call at 5.00pm to say they had not been able to complete the upgrade as they had a corrupted CD - they needed to order a new one and I had to rebook for a further visit.

Oh the joys of BMW! Wonderful car though - shame they cant service them.

Has anyone (in the UK) got any documentation to say they have the Service package. My wife's mini has a booklet (like a service history)

I have got service inclusive.

No booklet, but it is on my purchase invoice and also on the dealers computer link when vehicle is called up.

I use Broad oak BMW in Canterbury Kent.

I must say I have used them now for about 10 years without complaint!

Both Sales & Service have been fantastic.

Aftersales manager on the ball with any issues as well.

If you dont have any joy with your service inclusive package give my dealer a try.

They've never let me down yet! (touch wood! )
