What is BMW's policy on providing loaner cars while your car is in the shop?
For example:
-Are all dealers required to provide loaners?
-Or is the policy up to each individual dealer?
-Will there be any difference in loaner car policy if I buy from and have service done by the same dealer?

Dealers are not required to provide loaners. Generally, if you bought the car from a dealer he will provide a loaner.

[/quote]That sounds like a "rental" not a loaner!

My dealership has a fleet of E46 loaner cars they give to those who bought their car from them.

I have a loaner right now, new x3 - loaner means loaner - there is no charge. If you go to a reputable dealer - they should give you one for free

My dealership provided me with a loaner, but they're cars from Enterprise
I am currently driving in a Ford Expedition, not a BMW, while my car is in for mods.
Well, at least I don't have to pay for the loaner, so I guess I shouldn't be disappointed. But man I sure do miss my e60--it sucks having to reach for the radio controls, etc.
Can't wait to get my car back!

My dealer provides loaners and in the event that no BMW loaner is available they will use enterprise to get you a car
