Has anyone who has bought an E60 in the UK had BMW ring you up about the service received from the Dealer?.

When I bought my E46 M3 they were ringing me up every 10 minutes, but I have had this car for nearly two months and no one had phoned.

Perhaps they do not want me to give them all my concerns about missing functions and having to pay for Voice control when I have already paid for it.

Nope, had no call yet, although the dealer mentioned that I should expect one. I will give them some grief about voice control too.

Interestingly enough, your feedback means quite a lot to the dealer, they get rated by BMW uk and the customer feedback counts for quite a lot. Ultimately this can affect how their allocation, incentives etc are calculated and the staff can get a really nasty letter from region managers if they get poor ratings.

It is really in their interest to get high ratings.

mini is the same and they will often phone after a service or any unscheduled trip to the dealer for repair

Funnily enough now that you mention it ...... NO! I bought a Z4 last June and they called me about that but not about the 5 which I bought in October. Very interesting.

Yeah, my salesman and his boss mentioned the surveys to me about 5 times at the dealership and wanted to know what they could do to assure "5" ratings. I think the salesman gets rated and his boss does too (and higher). Their bonuses are tied to it.

I'm in the US and have not received the survey yet. But I have worked the whole thing to get two sets of floormats (1st ones were a little "dirty" when the car was delivered) and a $20/USD keychain.

So I guess getting a BMW mountain bike in return for all 5's is out of the question?
