Thumbs up

just wondered as I have not seen any 05 plate E60's or any model BMW for that matter, driving around with new 05 reg plates on.

I know new member wilko61 picked up a new 05 plate, but curious to see when the first infamous "week 9 build" cars will start appearing?

a colleague ordered a car in feb and lucky for him the dealer had a one slot/build date left for beginning week9 with est delivery before end of march (according to BMW system) does that sound realistic?

I have seen the invoice and the car also is listed as having the N52 engine so I think his production build date is accurate.

just wondered if a car built in week9 or 10 could be delivered that quickly to the UK...guess so....

I've got one on order and I was told beginning of May, but that might just be the dealer managing my expectations.

It depends on the dealers allocation when you get a build date ( last I asked my dealer about 2 weeks a go we had a 3 month waiting list here)

But the car can come quickly from the factory
They take about 48 hours to build

We get our 3 Series delivered here about 5 days after they are built

You would find your dealer had a free allocation

It takes 18 hours to paint a 6 series, so should be similar for 5 Series, so only 30 hours to put together
