just wondered as I have not seen any 05 plate E60's or any model BMW for that matter, driving around with new 05 reg plates on.

I know new member wilko61 picked up a new 05 plate, but curious to see when the first infamous "week 9 build" cars will start appearing?

Spoke to my dealer today to ask when car will be delivered. They say now delayed until end of April, however when they take out the 172 19" wheels option the date comes forward to end of March.
Poor show from BMW surely they should make sure they have the parts before their dealers start taking orders.

My dealer has said I can have the car at end of March with std wheels and change over to 172's end of April by swoping with a demo car they will order. I have agreed to do this - just wondering how quick I can run it in before the doughnuts start

That's mighty kind of them... I'm sure you'll be taking it real easy on the rubber! After the 'swap' let us know what the difference is? (In terms of ride and handling...)

Yes no probs. I had a test drive in an E60 with 17" RF before I drove my current car with 18" RF and the ride was just as lumpy with the same amount of tyre roar. So I would think theres hardly any difference. I'll let you know
I'll have to buy a set of the std 16"'s

My Week 10 car is due early April but the dealer is gonna let me know the true status some time this week. I was quite surprised that adding individual 2 didn't add much time to the build - guess the real waiting time comes when you have the highest level + paint.

I'll post an update when he calls
