My Ride: 2005 545i SMG. Titanium Grey with Grey interior and Anthracite wood.
I was just notified by my SA BMWNA is going to do a "Coladeral Return" on my car. I don't know why they call it that, but BMW is taking my car back and I need to make a decision on what to do.

I talked to my sale rep yesterday and he said that current SMG on 5-series are not proven like the one on M3. I am sure if he's right or not, but so far, he's partially right.

[/quote]I agree with beewang, to state the transmission isn't proven isn't correct, and it was my car which had the transmission trouble. With any new piece of technology, you should expect the production run isn't 100% perfect. I bought the 545 knowing the technology is the most complex and technologically sofisticated in the world. Knowing this, I praise BMW for taking these risks and providing its clients with this technology.
