Is a 540i realling happening to E60?

Is a 4.0L V8 engine being developed by BMW? And is E60 going to get it? Then there would be five different engines for the current 5-series(M5, 550i, 540i, 530i, and 525i), or is anyone going to be cancelled? Is this the same as the upcoming M3's 4.0L V8? Sorry for all the questions, I am really curious. By the way, I am living in the United States, just to make it clear.

The 540i has 306 hp in Europe but the M3 V8 will have some 415 hp.
Check www.bmwusa.com for the 540i.
In US the 525i has a 3.0 litre engine but in Europe it is 2.5 litre.
Both engines have 218 hp.
