Tks vm cpd1,
BTW previously high gloss shadow line was a feature of Individual Eq. Is it included
or it a matter to choose from standard extras?

Individual Shadow Line (shiny) is included when you have BMW Individual, and on the Emmys too.

cpd1: cud u confirm it too?

Otherwise for the sctratches i think the price wud be the same as for the standard colours. It is not that Individual paint is costly compared to standard it's just the price policy of BMW to confine production to a set of colours reducing the general cost.

Actually in the UK high gloss shadow line is extra individual or not, an extra GBP 130 for Sports Model. So you might want to check that for your country spec.

So what's the latest update 535dSE?

How's the engine performing?

How does it perform to any of the other models you've tested?

I'm still waiting..............

Dealer verbally told me week 38, however, now he's saying late November. Actually I'm worried too since I haven't received anything in writing yet. I'm afraid they may have given my build to someone else

I have exactly the same information from mydealer, I had been told week 37-38 and now the car will be produced in week 46 and the delivery will be week 48. by the way I have orderd in Austria/Vienna.

I had the chance driving a 535d 2 weeks ago from my dealer, it performed great but my expectaion was more ( u get the feeling due the forums and test magazine that the 535d will fly butt his is not the case, it has just biturbo technic and has more horsepower than 530d. I think the difference is the same wenn u drive a 525d and the u change to 530d).

Hi, The car is wonderfull. The engine is performing very well.Economy is 32mpg at the moment, but has been slowly rising.
With regard to performance when compared to other cars, my Dad has a 645.In normal driving, the 535 feels quite a bit more lively.(much more torque, lower down the rev range and not a lot less power.)
This is the most impressive part for me, the car is so effortless to drive. No lag, just lots of performance regardless of the revs.
Mine was originally scheduled for week 41.I have had it for 3 weeks now.
Regards
Simon

I heard about a temporarly hold on the production of 535d's because of the pressure inside the engine, at least thats what a salesman from the dealer told me.

Mine is coming mid January, hope I will not be affected by it either
