I just change my oil for the 3rd time in 2 years with Sport racing oil and only cost $120euro
Oil & oil filter and manhour which only take 30 mins to change.
I never go to BMW dealers to change oil they just rip you off for what they put in the engine.
If you what your engine to last longer then You should change oil every 7000 to 8000 km not what the computer says.
What is cheeper Oil to engine  ?

I agree wth you, and generally i would do what you say, but with the bmw i am a bit worried. you see, i have a diesel and i expect the turbo to blow (just like with every one out of four bmw diesels) at some point and in case this happens after my warranty expires, bmw will only take care of the repairs (on goodwill basis of course) provided you did all the services at bmw... this is the sad part of driving a great diesel engine!!!
