So, you're gambling that getting shot at is more likely than catching on fire or going off the road into a canal?

In my case: yes!

j/k

Those windows are not "bullet proof". So you can get shot, but you can't brake them by just throwing a stone at them...
If I am going in a canal I will still have enough time to open the window or the roof before the electricity is off.
Unfortunately I am living in a neighbourhood were there are cars broken in to every night.
It happened to me before a couple times and I don't want to experience it again.

Got it. Maybe BMW offers an air tank accessory for the car, in case you get trapped in the water and can't get the windows and doors open.

Oh yes! No doubt! My car would look like a cockpit of a 747 without idrive.

That's what I'm missing in Bangle's cars. Previously the cockpit looked so magnificent, in
particular illuminated at night... I had no problem at all to find the right button if needed.
Just a matter of practice. Now even some our competent members have to refresh from time to time how quickly to adjust climate or audio settings.

Any opinions?

You can allways add a couple switches and LED's yourself to get the cockpit look.

I like my cockpit dark. It makes it harder from people on the outside to see into my car. With tint, it works one way so if its lit inside you cant see out much either.

No Boeing feeling and no driver-oriented dashboard anymore unfly...
