My dealer rang me today said 19" wheels are now an available option on my ordered 535d sport. Cost is ?720. Is it worth it? They're not runflats. It is available after week 17. My car is a week 20 build

Not runflats? (ala M5) Does that price include the space-saver then?

I heard they would be RF's...?

BMW dont list any 19" run-flat wheels in the E60 sizes, only E90 so far, so all the 19" wheels they have come with normal tires on the E60

Thats interesting comment about the tyres being non run-flat as I am waiting for my 19" 172's to be delivered. I have the std 18's on with no spare wheel so hopefully when they do the swop over I'll get a space-saver spare. Also I want them quicker than ever now I know they're conventional tyres with less roar. And cheaper too I'll bet.

I have a delivery date of 21/05/05.

In the UK they were listed as a factory option, then dropped - because of supply issues I believe... As Merv has stated they'll be here soon!

You're right about 'dealer' 19" - all non-RF's... I expect the factory ones to be RF's though...?

Get them. Much, much better steering response. The ride with non-runflats on the 19's is better than runflats on the 18's.

maybe thats the reason for the delay, no run flats in that size yet

My dealer showed me the wheels are on the system but no tires listed for them, but there are 19" run flats for the E90 listed
