Default 2007 530iT - US *2WD* 6MT Unicorn for sale - price lowered!

Yes, US spec E61 I converted to 2WD!

After much deliberation, I decided it is time to part with my 2007 530iT 6MT. I've had it since March of 2013 and done meticulous maintenance from my day 1, including oil sampling at every oil change, 40k driveline fluid changes, and 2 year brake fluid/4 year coolant flushes.
It's a late Pre-LCI (6-06 build, LCI was ~9/06) with Adaptive HIDs. I added an LM2 module for additional lighting features. Alpine white 3 with Cinnamon Dakota leather.
I'm a constant tinkerer so it's heavily personalized: I retrofitted a complete factory/OE brand new M5 front end to the car (including fenders/liners/bumper/underbelly trays - note no vents in the fenders) in late 2015, then an ISC "Street Comfort" coil over kit in late 2016. In late 2017 I hit some road debris that knocked a hole in the oil pan and after a few weeks of deliberation I decided to convert the car to 2WD - the process is documented HERE, using all BMW factory OE/OEM parts (except the transmission mount to adapt from an xDrive chassis to a 2WD transmission). Fully converted electrically as well - No lights, warnings, or problems in the 27k since.

It has just a tick over 200k miles but as you can see in the maintenance, everything has been recently replaced, and the engine uses about a quart of oil every 7500 miles. I drive 45 min each way to work and as you can see I worked my way up (via oil sample results) to a 15k oil service interval, with a 7500mi filter service interval.

Other changes include M5 sedan bars front and rear, non-self adjusting clutch, Lighter spring rate ISC springs (8k) to eliminate the harsh ride, M5 steering wheel, M5 lighted shifter.

Lots of spares will come with it, including original 10K ISC springs, original heated steering wheel, 5 good coil packs

A few notes on the transmission mount -

I utilized most of the mounting points for the Xdrive transmission mount but because I wanted a more balanced bolt pattern that provided a stable foot print to the chassis, I added a mounting point via rivnut so that the mounts spanned the cross piece. As you can see there are now attachment points on both sides of the cross piece.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks of improvements 1/2 to 3/4 through the first iteration so I set about improving it in version 2, shown above. The pics in the link of the OP also show some of the fabrication steps and the final iteration that was powder coated. I'm quite happy with how the update came out. Of course, it'll likely never be seen from behind the belly pan but that's besides the point - powder coat durability is more important to me.

Price lowered to $9,000.

I presume many are wary of the mileage, but the transmission now has about 140k miles on it, and all the wear and tear items have been replaced - ball joints, control arms, inner/outer tie rods, wheel bearings (all 4), rear CV joint, etc. Obviously very biased but the car is very tight, and the M5 F/R bars make it handle way better than stock. A few minutes into a test drive and you'll understand!

Cheers,

Andy
