I don't know everything on the story, but want to chime in on how offers are accepted.

If you have a reasonable agreement with an interested party, you should inform other buyers that a sale is in process and, if the deal falls through, you have next dibbs. How simple. With all the time and logistics to cope with, its often tough to get cash in someone's hand "like right this second." Like some baby pounding the table in frustration. Courage to be fair is difficult?

Plus, as we are members of a BMW community on this forum, we owe each other a higher level of respect than to some yahoo off the street. I understand the second buyer was a forum member. That said, 968s turbo is fine contributer to the forum and a true e60er.

I'm going to list my 550 later this month and will honor the buyer who hits the price first or where I accept the offer. One week to close with cash seems appropriate. Other bidders will have to wait, even if they offer more. Its a pretty shifty move on a buyer's part as well, to offer more to get the seller to kill the first deal. Lets be straight shooters.

I mean look at all the greed in this country and just see the results.
