lets just say i own a c6 vette convertible with 625hp. you can basiclly add a few more mods and have as much horse as a zr-1 for about half the cost. i have full widebody z06 conversion on mine also. so it looks like a z06 but its a convertible and i have more power than a z06
Yeah, but your VIN states that it's a C6... and not a Z06... and not a ZR-1....

ZR-1 4tw

All you posers... bug off..

I just wish it was more distinctive.
The one thing I wish it had was better seats. That's the one thing that has bugged the heck out of me about Corvettes.

You mean like how, say, the M5 is so much more distinctive than a 550i Sport to the disinterested? I get drivers all the time run up on me on the freeway then back off to my quarter panels to read the badge, thinking it might be an M5. I'm sure plenty others w/ an '08 550i Sport get the same thing. My point being, the M5 is not significantly different looking from any other 5-series, yet significantly more expensive comparably equipped. But the owner still bought it because (to him/her) it's much more than the sum of its parts.

Points to ponder...

I give respect where it's due, and the new vette certainly deserves a heap of respect for those numbers and that car, but I'll give a big fat +1 for this.

"Nice 'vette, Nissan GT-R please!"

I swear! You badge chasers kill me! You'd pass up on what is arguably the current pinnacle of street legal performance cars just because it doesn't have the badge you desire??? And I bet every one of you [badge chasers] will somehow have the gall to call yourselves "performance enthusiasts" simply because you drive a BMW... That's a big -->

Badge chaser? Not to say the zr1 isn't a sweet car....but if I was going to spend 100k on a new car and had to choose between a zr1 or a gtr.....I would chose a gtr hands down. Of course I've never liked GM products(no offense to anyone) and have always been a Nissan enthusiast....and have been a huge fan of all skyline gtr's, even back to the early 70's models....like this one that I saw a few weeks ago at a Nissan car show

That skyline, is totally awesome, i'm a Nissan enthusiast too, and i've liked all those "datsuns" since 1970s...

But i'm also a GM guy... I have a Silverado pickup, that most of you guys here, would love to try... no its not a good handler, but power.... from a DIESEL ofcuz

GM did a awesome job on the ZR-1, it's no lie... however, there are people, who don't understand, don't like, don't see....

These people, come to the internet, to babble...

How about Porsches.... arent they all overpriced ?

What about the Porsche GT ? or the GT3 RS ?

I'd take the Corvette ZR-1 over the both of them...
