Gees...if all you Japanese car fanatics are so up on reliability and quality, just buy a freakin Suburu or something..cheap, reliable, fun to drive, good horse power, and LOOKS LIKE SHIT.

BMW and other german manufacturers has always been way ahead in engineering and technology...wait, it is the japanese though that are the best at refining what the germans developed.

Nuff said.

Let the topic go..let just agree that there are drivers that like to spend less and drive from point a to point b, and then there are "US" the Bimmians that just enjoy driving.

I will disagree with the original comment.

I had a M3 with 19". The car handles great and grip is excellent. But it's a smaller and more nimble car then either M45 and 545i. They were never intended to be mentioned in the same sentence.

To say that M45 handling is not good based on M3 is ridiculous. Please compare apple to apple and orange to orange.

M45 is a much bigger and heavier car. It should be compare to 545i sports. If you are going to lose the grip on the M45, the same will happen in 545i sports since both have about same lateral grip.

M45 handles just as good as 545i sport to the limit. The only differences are that M45 has slightly more body roll and steering response is not as sharp as E60. But M45 did benefit a great deal from rear steer. Both 545i and M45 has almost the same capability in turns.

I bought a M45 11 days ago to replace my soon to depart E500. I did not choose the 545i simply I don't need another E60 with M5 arriving this year.

Even if the M5 has been delayed, I will still choose M45 over 545i simply M45 has better designed interior and a better navi with backup camera.

M45 is only a step behind 545i in fun factor. But it's not a huge step. For $55k fully loaded, it's just a much better buy than 545iA sport.

So far I have not yet used infiniti service yet. But given how bad the BMW service has been, I don't think it would be a BMW advantage. (Plus pretty much all BMW dealer in bayarea really blows).

Are you implying that people who buy the lesser priced M45 don't just enjoy driving?

Are you also implying that "Bimmians" never drive their cars to just go from point A to point B?

The new M45 is nice for the price, the 545i is nicer but you PAY for it literally, i think the future 550i will blow the M45 out of the water.
