Come on you guys...as much as we all love our E60, MB is probably up there with our choice of cars.
I had 3 MB prior to my E60 and I have no complaints at all! awesome cars. My brother has the S430 and it is a beast...I couldn't even begin to imagine the handling of the S65 AMG. I don't know that anyone here would turn down such a car...of course if you can afford spending $180,000+

Not an automotive expert by any means, but just based on observations, I can see several design cues from the 7-series:

First of all, the most obvious is the jog-shuttle dial for the COMAND unit. BMW took a lot of heat for introducing this and it is now making it's way into other flagship models.

Start/Stop button for the engine actually looks just like the one implemented in the 7-series.

Electronic transmission stalk on the steering wheel column...again, the thing surprising looks like the stalk used on the 7-series, and not just the movements (up=reverse, down=drive, push in=park) but the shifter handle itself looks very close to BMW's version.

Trunk lid. Recall that the 7-series trunk looks like a giant box was dropped onto the back-end of the car. The new S-class has this but (in my opinion) looks more aesthetically appealing.

Large, wide-screen LCD monitor at the top of the center console, placed at the same height/level as the main cluster of gauges; the driver simply glances down a little bit and can still see the road ahead. I'm not entirely sure, but I remember all of the previous MB's having the LCD monitor lower in the center console with the center air vents above it.

All that being said, I'm liking the new S-class.

I think the new s-class is really cool but the interior looks like the 7-serie!

Again, using the 7-series as a reference...
When the 745Li was introduced, a lot of critics complained of the "barren" interior and how it looked too plain. Now, with the new S-class, you've got a center console that has only push buttons and an analog clock flanked by air vents. The 7-series, with a few dials as well as push buttons looks to be the busier set-up.

For now, I agree. The 7-series has a better looking interior. However, I'll reserve judgement on the new S until I see one in person.
