What do you guys think? I sort of like it. It will need to grow on most though.

The "4 door coupe" designation is a little "interesting".

I'd take the E60 any day though. The CLS reminds me of the old Audi A6 in appearance.

Still somewhat interesting though...

I think its gorgeous, but its a completely different car from the E60. It has the interior space of the new 3 series. It has a wooden console between the two rear seats so its only a 4 seater. I'll bet that 500 in the small chassy kicks ass, but I I don't know how much fun it would be to drive. Mercedes have never done it for me as a driver.

I got a chance to see one last week. It's an interesting concept, the only observation is that it will be tight fit for tall drivers. I'm 6'5" and basically had no headroom, and there is no way anyone would be able to sit behind me. The interior and the look and feel of the current E-class cars.

It will be interesting to see who buys this car and how they hold there value.

The dealer did mention that they would only be bringing a total of 1400 CLS55's into the US! That limited number may cause them to hold there value better than expected.

Cheers

I'd pass...too many compromises on a car that is ultimately not a driving machine.
