That's the same interior as the Charger and 300. I've rented these and the interior would be a major reason not to get the car. That steering wheel is one of the worst I have ever laid hands on. I, too, was waiting on this car. However, someone totaled my last ride before the Challenger came out. I now have my e60 and am quite satisfied.
Plus the car weighs over 4000 lbs, Car & Driver states ~4100 lbs. The thing will drive like typical American crap. Yes it will go fast in a straight line, but cornering is another story. GM is the only one addressing American sloppy handling.

I love this car...then I saw the interior. What a let down!

The inside definitely looks like some 300 and Charger rentals that I have had the "pleasure" of driving when I've been away on business or on vacation.

Ladies, it's a muscle car.

Oh, and the myGig radio/NAV is much, much better than anything in the I-drive world.

The interior is a far cry from perfect, but its in a 420hp 40-grand car. What can you buy with 420hp for 40-grand that has a nicer interior?

You could get a new Camaro, which has a much "sportier" retro interior that does not look like a minivan, and which actually has a three spoke steering wheel.

And the exterior of the new Camero looks way better.

All ofthese companies need to stop trying to bring back classic muscle cars, because its just not working

Well, I guess you could except you can't. The new Camaro isn't available yet. Talk is it will be 400hp and in the $40k range. So aside from not being available, I'm not sure it would have more hp or be less money either. I do hope it will be a great car.

I sold my BMW and bought a Jeep SRT-8. The Jeep's interior isn't anything incredible, but I never thought a $40k Jeep would have an interior comparable to a $60 E60. If it did there'd be a line out the door for Chrysler products. Obviously I still like BMWs as I still lurk around here... we'll probably replace the Jeep with a 535xi wagon at some point.

I just don't get bashing a muscle car for having a muscle car interior... the original Road Runners were basically 2-door taxis with a large helping of horsepower. It's not for everybody but it is what it is.

I think you're bang on the money. These are all about the exterior and the tie in to the muscle cars of the past. No one is going to buy or not buy these for the interior, though I agree it's a shame as the concept cars for both vehicles had pretty cool interiors too.

By the way - the SRT-8 you have now is a monster. I don't think many people realize just how fast that thing is (and also how well it handles).
