I think you're bang on the money. These are all about the exterior and the tie in to the muscle cars of the past. No one is going to buy or not buy these for the interior, though I agree it's a shame as the concept cars for both vehicles had pretty cool interiors too.
By the way - the SRT-8 you have now is a monster. I don't think many people realize just how fast that thing is (and also how well it handles).

Thanks for the kind words on the Jeep. I laughed the first time somebody told how well they handled. I had to test drive it twice to believe it. And it is a monster... I think its hysterical that we can buy a vehicle like that off the showroom floor.
Thanks for backing me up on being "bang on the money"... that's a great phrase! Cars are built for purposes. We've got an '83 911SC. It's a Guards Red cabriolet and looks like its going 100 mph when its parked... but with 185 hp it's no drag race machine... a stock 530i would give it a good run. I've told many "mine's faster" muscle car drivers I'd be glad to race them on any track that involves braking & turning too!
Great to hear from a Porsche guy that's a car enthusiast and not an elitist. I think you represent the silent majority of P-car drivers!

I know the "original" GTOs and such were re-badged/stripped family sedans with big engines, but I have been in 60's and 70s Camaros, Firebirds and Boss Mustangs, and I can honestly say that they had things like three-spoke steering wheels, real manual transmissions, and bucket seats that at least looked sporty. They may have been made from plastic, but at least they didn't look like a minivan. The interior of that Challenger is just plain sad.

This is no muscle car interior. Rather its a 2004 interior found in all Chargers, 300s, Magnums and anything else they can fit it in. Its not functional, nor is it comfortable. Go rent a Charger or a 300 and you will find, this is no muscle car interior. It is far from that. Its just a plain old Chrysler interior, nothing more.
