I think Audi makes a terrific car, and this one looks pretty dang good.? With a weight/power ratio of 3.93 kg/hp this is very close to M5 territory.? 0-200 kph in 16.6 seconds is quicker than the RS6.? I have to give Audi credit for pushing BMW.? Competition is a good thing!

with the only difference being is that the RS4 is NOT trying to compete with the M5 ..... the RS6 would try to. V8 bi-turbo.

and hey Iceman - I think your opinionated statements ate enough.

on allt he boards I have ever been, if MB, Audi, VW and Jap Foreign Cars, e60.net ; IE BMW boars are the worst.

CLOSED MINDED people - NOT everybody, but a bunch. I have NEVER seen so many stupid non-sense negative comments agains another manufacturer. or as many unfair comparisions.

M3 = S4/S4 coupe
M5 = RS6

NOTHING = RS4

and unless that this quattro system is different, which it may be - i did not read into the full tech specs, audi has been using a 50/50 system. unlike subaru (40/60)

iceman; do you work for BMW ? you seem to defend every & all of their happenings, wether it be software issues, bad customer service (at times) and/or anything else. You're the man.

this is pathetic. like a bunch of 12 year olds that can't stand to have someone else have something better than they have. pathetic bunch.

now thats just my opinion, remember iceman ... we all have them. ;-)

I like my E60 as much as I liked my Audi A4. And I'd love to have either of a M5 or RS4.

I don't like anything 3 series, or any of the A6s

I like both Audi and BMW, but not all of them. But I can understand some people being completely sold on either brand.

So far experience leads me to favour BMW over Audi - however I like to keep an open mind.

My current plan is to go for an E90 M3 (or whatever E number M3 will be) when it finally comes out - however I will take a serious look at the RS4. I doubt I would buy it but you never know until you drive one.

I think you're correct it is 50/50 with all 3 Limited slip differentials (torzen or haldex) with a possibility of transfer 65% of power to any one wheel if required

Audi is quality IMO, and I'd take a RS4 over a 545 anyday of the week.

Well geez, I would imagine the RS4 is about $25K more expensive. Not too hard to decide there is it?

I was assuming it would be around $70-75K and by the time it comes out the e60 will be 3-4 years old, so something new would be nice.

But I regress, it would be hard to choose an audi, even a RS4 over the new M3.

Don't you understand that the A4 is old, in fact 3 years older than the E60!
It has got a new grille now but it's an almost 5 years old car. (The first "new" A4s were out 2000/12 in Europe.) Audi's RS models are always out late, too late.
