Its quite simple...when you can run down a Ferrari in a car under $100k, its going to get a lot of attention.

There were a few girls in my past that might not have been beauty queens, but damn they were good in the sheets. I liken this car to those girls...

Exactly !!! Nissan is really trying to cover their a$$ here. I mean I understand why, but come on this is a performance car that is supposed to rival the M3 and 911s, right? I know you do not have to sign this kind of bs when you buy one of these cars. Also, the MSRP just went up ~$7K on the GT-R!! That in addition to the fact that people are paying a premium over MSRP. No thanks. Give me a new M3 or slightly used 911 turbo for less money than the GT-R and I would be COMPLETELY satisfied. BTW..... I spent about 100 miles behind the wheel of a 2007 911 turbo this past weekend. It has a chip and exhaust. The thing is unreal. It puts 528 HP to the wheels!!! I was cruising along at 100 mph in 6th gear.... I did not down shift... just floored it and it still threw me back in the seat. WILD !!!!
+1 and i sell these cars...

But you have to admit, the car is blindingly fast and handles like it has 'Super Glue' for tires!

From what I have read... yes, but I have yet to drive one. I can only go by what others have said.
What i do know .... the 911 turbo is crazy. The faster you go, the more the car just hunkers down and hugs the road. Feels like it is on rails and the power thoughout the entire band is just ridiculous. Yes, the price tag is high, but, as I said before, if I were spending ~$100K on a pure sports car ... without hesitation, the Porsche 911 turbo still gets my nod.

I got to drive a RHD direct import Japanese version about 3 weeks ago. Didn't get to drive it hard, but I have to say that it felt remarkably un-Japanese. I've driven the 997 turbo many times and it is a great car, but even from my short moderate drive in the GT-R, the nick-name of 'Godzilla' is deserved. Mind you, it looks like Godzilla too!

i keep tellin you guys it has a niisan badge but its far from any nissan on the planet... talk about handling the car holds so well.. yes by all mean the 911 is no joke at all.. but its like the teacher and the GTR is the student.. we all know what happens next... in any power band in the GTR theres no i mean no loss of power it just keeps pulling... i read someing a couple of posts back about the 911 in 6th gear... its the same in the GTR... im not trying to put the GTR on a high horse.. but the car is a real beast and it handles alot better then thought... wait till the v-spec drops.. thats going to be the car to get...its going to have more power its going to be lighter.. only 500 will be offered for sale....
