Hi all,
I had a E46 M3 before and i regret to say that there is no E60 besides the M5 that can take out an M3. Your calculations are ok but they wont take into account the gear ratios which in an M3 are much more adjusted to high acceleration capabilities matching a sportscar like the M3.
A 550i is a compromise of sports and comfort so the ratios are adjusted to that, not to make too much rpm cause that would affect the comfort and noise in the car.
So i hate to bring it but there is no chance a 545/550 could beat an M3 with equal drivers.
