The Porsche 3.8 liter flat six won the award for best new engine

It was time anybody else to get some awards after all these years in a chain for BMW. These people have families to feed too. Nice that Porsche is coming back to naturally aspired engine.

Something I noticed:
The TT BMW 3.0 liter L6 (!) engines are quite nice ones...
1. BMW 3-litre DI Twin Turbo (135, 335, X6, Z4, 730) 345
2. BMW Diesel 3-litre Twin Turbo (335d, 535d, 635d, X3, X5, X6) 250
And that
1. BMW 4-litre V8 (M3) 319
2. Porsche 3.8-litre flat six DI (911) 156
So BMW bested over Porsche with a old engine?
PS. I love Porsche's! But also the 3,0 l L6's.
