good info guys.. money is of course an issue too. got to stay in that 50-65k range. No AMG cars for me. I may still keep the E60, but it is getting to the point where I can't take it anymore. car is in the shop at least one week every 6-8 weeks.

Speaking of reliability I haven't heard the CLS giving as much problems as Bmw's. Im not bashing BMW i have a 2006 550i my self with M aero kit.

Exactly! Given the troubles we put up with, why would you want to take on even more problems?
MB has worse marks than BMW for reliability.

the CLS is indeed a nice, but different lookign car. problem is it is out of my league. I lease, and payments are very important. no good deals on those though. believe it or not, I got a gooddeal on the 545i ($625 a month with tax with about $5000 total out of pocket), so it is going to be super hard to come close to that with any of these cars. my options, lease wise, are the Audi A6 (anyone with experience with one?), the M35, or the E class.

the worst you can do is selling an E60 and purchasing an Audi A6. our neighbour had an A6. he gave it back to the dealer because of quality faults. i don't know what they were exactly, but the had to be seriously, because the dealer gave him his money back. now he drives a Porsche Cayenne.
