If we want to analyze posts on here like literature, we can say my first paragraph was to bring to a stop the flood of posts attacking the member, and the second paragraph was to redirect the thread back on its original track.

If we replace "dipshits" with "ignorant", will that stop some of the members here from being so butt-hurt? Run tell a mod if it really bothers you so that he can be banned, but to have posts in a thread that are really just filler comments gets irritating after a while. Report him or just put up with it. There's war and mass-genocide in the world, and someone's vag hurts when an anti-Korean remark is made on the internet.

remember when you did not drive BMW before.

i bet when you guys get a nicer brand, you will start dissing BMW like other makers.

not everyone can afford BMW like we do have.

I come from a Lexus family, so I really don't hate on anything. I guess I didn't give credit to Hyundai on the Genesis, but it irks me that the water's being stirred by a new competitor. If it fails at becoming an elite manufacturer like Lexus of BMW, then it'll slowly start to get annoying when Kia and Tata try to do the same thing.

 

Actually no, vocabulary/semantics still does not change the fact that you feel the need to belittle other members from voicing opinions on such a volatile subject. To continue to insult members with immature comments like "butt-hurt" and "someone's vag-hurts" really does say a lot about yourself there. Along with trying to compare war and genocide to ethnocentric/steroetypical remarks. Wars have started over much less. And again, by allowing those types of comments to go unchecked, or as you said "put up with it", on a deeper level condone that type of attitude, just as your condescending tone needs to be commented on.

To monster, I was not trying to come off arrogant with my comment of "it's still not a BMW". I do appreciate every single car I've had prior to owning this e60, and nothing was in this pay-grade. I was merely stating that it's like comparing apples to oranges, these are 2 completely different cars....



BTT: amazing how many threads in the last few days have been started about the genesis. I guess their marketing team did their job

Marketing thrives on friction caused by pitting car brands against each other. Hell, just about every car brand has just done that. Came back
from visiting a few car showrooms with Lexus and Mazda actually giving me printed material listing their best points against other brands...

As far as the racist remark made here by some idiot, I'll just ignore the bastard since he's bitter about alot of things....

 

In the automotive realm, comparative marketing against other brands (especially brands with higher value) is what you would call the 'bread and butter' of the business. It drives an intended message across to a consumer and creates 'controversy' (like it did on this forum with the Genesis), and controversy drives exposure.

Looking at the marketing strategy of Hyundai with the Genesis, the basic structure of the strategy hasn't changed much since they entered the American market. They are still using the 'more for less' approach. Faster than, bigger than, more room than, better road holding than, better braking than... for less money! Comparative marketing is inexpensive, effective, and has a high ROI for automotive companies like Hyundai. It won't get buyers to cross shop from a BMW, Mercedes Benz, higher end Lexus, and higher end Infiniti... but it may get a consumer that is considering say a Lexus ES 350 to at least think about the Genesis.

 

A "volatile" subject? He got fucked by someone of Korean descent, you mean to tell me if something similar happened to you of someone of a certain nationality or any other type of classification you wouldn't be wary of your next purchase from someone similar?

You can hide behind trying to correct me on my name-calling of others, but you still don't change the logic behind what I stated earlier with 3 members vs. 1 telling him off.

Last time I checked, ethnicity had alot to do with genocide in the past, but I still wasn't making a direct connection.
