Skaffa. where are you getting this done? If in the UK, what is the price? Is the Kempower chip somehow different that it will not be detected?

I don't know how that diagnostics in service works, so I can't explain why nor how...

Kempower is Belgium company and I drive there. Cost is 800,-?

Kempower Uk distributors are www.munichlegends.co.uk. I was going to get there remap but its highly unlikely now. They send the ECU to belgium. The whole process takes about a week.

Also the 2.7 jag diesel engine has less power and torque than the 530d. So im sure the 530d will kill it.

I'd put my chipped 530d up for a lap or two, but couldn't afford the tyres!
You can have a LOT of fun in ANYTHING you drive, and all without wrecking your car or tyres.

BTW, those interested might like to look here

surprised Jeremy Clarkson didn't mention the 535d but he never likes BMWs anyway.

I have a good friend who was at school with JC at Repton. He said he rags on all German and American cars and hates them with a passion. In which case my response was that he might want to change is profession since most British marques are now in the enemy camp.

JAG- FORD
ROLLS- BMW
BENTLEY - VW
LAND ROVER - FORD
MINI - BMW
ROVER - HONDA
ASTON - FORD

I saw the show Sunday night. I agree, all JC does is talk about all the quarter million dollar cars that most of us can't afford or will ever drive. Then all he does is take them around his track. The average car buyer will never get the chance to do that. Also, looking at the clip of the ring, too many people out there. Believe they showed a car and a motorcycle being brought back in on the back of a lowboy. Oh, they also had ambulance out there so before you get froggy and jump on the ring think about your driving skills.

He is a complete idiot. All he ever says he is loves the ford gt (even tho it is american, which he seems to forget). And the says some of the best cars in the world at the moment are british (meaning jag, and aston etc). But there american as well. Possibly the worst car reviewer there is. He makes his mind up about cars, before he has even driven them!
