Anyone test drive the A8L before buying your 545i?

But I refused to buy a car where the back seats are larger and more comfortable than the front. I would have felt guilty driving around with nobody back there.

well I'll tell you plain and simple the A8 drives like crap compared to the 7 series. As for the 545i it drives like no other, but you should really be comparing it to the A6...
Not to knock the A8, it does have a fantastic interior, plus a nice exterior.
I think what someone said earlier about the A8 driving like a german cadillac, basically sums up what I felt walking away from my friends A8.

To each his own...regarding looks. As far as handling...I'd take the A8's all-wheel drive any day...if I lived where it snowed. The A8 handles great; it belies it's size! However, the E60 is a much better "driver's car". Personally, the E60 is still more distinctive looking - love it or hate it. The A8 is much more sedate-looking - a little old...until it gets the A6 face. (You also have to consider the quality issues...Audi does not have the best track record on reliability.)
