The XF was designed while Jag was still part of Ford.
About reliability or predicted reliability of the XF, it get's a 4 out of 10 from JD Power. Jag XF
Now in comparison the BMW gets 8 out of 10. BMW 5 series

That's right, no doubt the 550 Sport is sharper and the better handler. I just think a lot of people underestimate how good the XF is. I really like the XF, it's a strong competitor to the E60, but I really like the 550 too.
I appreciate your thoughts on the XF, though I still maintain that my car is better than the XF

The one thing that turns me off about that Jag is that it has been reported to have some quality issues. I've followed the XF through the car media since its release and I can think of several instances where it was reported to be less than well-built. On that same note, a recent write-up in Automobile Mag on the XFR was intriguing. That being said, also some of those negative reports did seem to exaggerate a bit. But in the end, it was enough for me to turn away from XF and look to a 535 as my next car - and yes, I did consider the XF, though, admitedly, did not bother to take a test drive of it. I am also a bit of an audiophile and that Bowers & Wilkins system in the Jag does look REALLY attractive to me.

The new owner of Aston Martin is a consortium comprised of: David Richards, founder and chairman of Prodrive, a world-leading motorsport and automotive technology company; John Sinders, an avid Aston Martin collector and a backer of Aston Martin Racing; and Investment Dar and Adeem Investment Co, international investment companies headquartered in Kuwait.
