I just used my Nav, I hate it, I cant see where in the menu you can cancel the the guidance when you want

You can delete the destination by clicking on your destination and scrolling down to delete.

It is all voice dont know why they even show a map, it does not highlight which exit number, or road name or highway, I think this is terrible,?

If you have HUD look on your windshield with HUD on.? If not, in the small square screen you can display directional arrows with the name of the exit or street that that you turning on to.? And the distance to exit.

Is there something I am missing here?

Yes

Active steering is great ,on the freeay the car is all over the road, it feels like i have bad lower control arms and a loose steering rack, just came from a clients house 1 hour away i had to fight the wheel on every straight stretch.

My comparatively equipped 545 does not do that.? I would go see the dealer to have them look at it.

Not happy

And to top this off my Auto Box is acting up so badly I am so mad that this is all coming from such an expensive 67k car.

My comparatively equipped 545 does not do that.? I would go see the dealer to have them look at it.

The more I get used to this car in my daily driving conditons I hate to say this I really miss my Jaguar for a number of reasons, Looks, Speed, Best Nav I ever used and its rock solid stability at all speeds, granted its noiser, not built as good etc, but I really enjoyed driving the S Type R more than my Brand New Bimmer.

Hey I may post one day for someone in the NY tri state to assume my lease I am that disgusted and its only one week!!!!!

You and I must have two different cars.? My 545 is absolutely awesome.? I would suggest a trip to the dealer and also give yourself some time with the 545.? Good luck.

It was on a showroom floor model in May when I first saw it.? I thought it was just a US NAV CD thing because it was not available in Europe.? But it was gone here too.? Here is what I saw and it really gets you to your address faster.? This is from the manual.

That's how it is on bus nav over here. But the ZIP code field is missing on pro nav.

No igor, he means the "city" field. Put the ZIP code in the city field... I'll try it later... But I think it's not available in Germany.
UltraPlanet, you've burned another CD for that meet?

Again, just to be clear, you don't need the zipcode field to use the zipcode. Just enter the zipcode in the "city" field.

Iceman, I'll be anxious to learn if this works on your car...

No but I have enough stuff. My daughter found out that I gave you guys a CD and got mad at me She thinks I'm a silly old man. Do you have some songs you would like to contribute? Maybe we can get each person planning to attend the next meet to suggest a song and I will put another disc together for everyone.

Sorry this thread has really been hijacked all over the place.

No he is at the Aston dealer or in surgery or travelling on the turnpike at 140mph observing the loose front end of his car.

2004RType,

could you list the full list of options on your car, please.

also, i drive multiple different cars throughout the month, and have to say that the 5 series is the one with the most road feel/sportiest in feel. it does move around alot, however i can understand where that will get annoying at times like NY Traffic.

S500L
SL500
V8 Touareg
745Li
Sequoya
530i
Lincoln TC stretch 100"

there are times to enjoy each of those cars. would NOT want the SL for a daily driver, or the touareg. my favorite to drive is the s500l - as it is the most comfortable. VERY easy steering, no hesitation. the BMW has a very heavy, but sporty feel to it.

those cars are just in the family - NOT my own.
