VW does not own Porsche, moreover, Porsche took over 21,9 % of VW stocks because VW was crippling just last year. The only further connection is that Porsche chef Wendelin Wiedeking is also member of the board of directors at VW. Both companies splitted from one family, with different owners.
Half of VW belongs to the federal state of lower saxony, Porsche privately owned

ok the zo6 is faster... but put it on a track against the Rs4 and I don't think their would be much difference... especially with audis new quatrro systems send 60 percent power to the rear wheels, thus making it more agile as such. The Zo6 is too cheap to my likeing (compare the interior for example) ,we value quality, speed, style on this forum... not just outright speed. Zo6 is still a nice car, Just I would get something else for the money (also being right hand drive here )

Ah, I think your wrong. Vettes have consistently shown the ability to run with most high end Porsches and Modena level Ferraris. Not to sure if an RS4 has a hope with all that weight and the huge front weight basis. The modern Vette is damn near a track car. I'd check the top gear charts.
Just my two cents.

R&T just reviewed an RS4.
Its fast with 0-60 in 4.3 sec. and the best news is that it starts at "only" $66K, not the $80K+ the U.S. press was expecting - Audi website says $71K after options and gas guzzler tax.
Given the RS4's massive performance envelope, $70K does not seem out of line. An optioned 550i reaches the high $60s.
