We shall see, but, right, it is likely to fall short of the M5. Maybe the M3 is the best comparison.

I am sure the RS4 will be more comparible to the new M3 V8 in performance as well as price. The RS6 is the M5's competitor.

My Ride: 2003 X5 3.0----->gone 2004 Porsche Cayenne S : Gemballa front and back bodykit, fabspeed bypass pipes, Gemballa exhaust pipes, full option, 20" factory sport design rims------>gone 2005 545i 6-spd manual---->de-badged, CDV removal, Autosolutions short shift kit, resonator removal, premium package, PDC, xenon, almost full options, hardwire V1 install ....looking for mods... 2007 550i 6-spd----> Premium package, sport package, Logic7, heated everything, Rogue Engineering SSK, CDV removal, hardwire V1 install, aFe cold air intake, Custom Magnaflow exhaust....

I test drove the newest S4 and really I wasn't impressed with the handling at all, there was such a huge gap between the S4 and the E46 M3. How much better in terms of handling can the RS4 be?? My guess would be as good as the E46 M3 at best which means it can never compete with the E90 M3

the RS4 is overpriced and heavy...... the upcoming C63 AMG will the one to have in this class of cars..... 450-510HP...... running high 11's or low 12's stock.....

as for the Z06, check out this video of one running 11.7 @ 125...

Well, they've invented Quattro... Ok... But that's pretty much it.

IMHO there is MB for luxury, BMW for drivers, Porsche for sports. That's it.
I do respect and honor what the French car manufacturers do, but those cars are just waaay to cheap built. They are very innovative though.
For the Asian car manufacturers I have a lot of respect for the copying. They are very good at it.

But as said above, for me there are only three "REAL" car manufacturers...

But isnt Audi a blend of Merc Luxury + BMW sports? I dunno... I know you said Audi is "cheap" so I guess it cant be very luxury...

Oh Oh what I ment was... isnt audi for those that dont want all drivers and no comfort and dont want merc for all comfort and no drivers car... *shurgs* nevermind my rambling....
