06 BMW 530xi

Im about to trade in my 06 bmw 530xi, because of the terrible reliablity i havent had the car long but i have already pumped $3500.00 into it, I like the Lexus GS 300 AWD but im afraid that the AWD system is not real-nor effective in the snow, so i was thinking about an Audi A6 i Love the car, but does anyone know how reliable the car is?

I'm coming from Audi. if you want 4x4 audi quattro is the only real option. Go for it. As to reliability it is pretty much the same as BMW

What worries you about the Lexus AWD system? From everything that I have read about it is quite effective, a combo hydraulic/electronic system that can vary the torque/power delivery from 50/50 to 30/70 (front/rear). This essentially mimics Audi Quattro's Torsen system, which allows engine power to be directed to either the front or rear axles depending on traction conditions. I believe the newest generation of Quattro for the A6 sets the Torsen limits at 40/60 (front/rear).
Good luck with your choice.

Can you please clarify? I am thinking of getting a 06 530xi in a couple of months. Why do you have to pump 3500 into it when it is under warranty?

My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.
Exactly what did you have to cough up another $3500.00 bucks for?????, that now makes you want to get rid of it. I'm a little confused as some of the other forum members.????
