Thumbs up

If as I understand recent posts, installing the center phone cradle commits you to hard wired connection for all phone functions and requires deactivation of the Bluetooth feature, why does BMW make specific inserts for only special Bluetooth enabled phones? I have a Moto V710 that pairs perfectly with the car, but wanted the snap in cradle as well to hold it for charging and to use the external antenna.

I have phone cradle for Nokia 6310i, bluetooth is still used when the phone is in the cradle, turn off bluetooth & it does not work. I queried this as I would have thought that hardwired would have been superior to bluetooth, but was told that it still works via bluetooth, just power & antenna via hardwiring.
