Voice for Phone but NO Voice for Menu

My Ride: 2004 545i Automatic - Premium - 19" M166 - Logic 7 - No Nav
Hi,
Since I had my bluetooth installed, my phone can be operated via voice (by pressing the little button on the steering).
However, When I try to change my radio channel or access CD via voice, it does not work. Is there something I need to do ? I notice that once I pressed the little button on the steering, the voice icon does not show on the Idrive screen, however, I can hear a "BIP" and operate me phone, nothing else.

Since you do not have NAV you do not have extended voice recognition capability
