Verizon Bluetooth
#1
I just got an '05 645. I paired it with my Verizon Treo 650 and the 650 keeps re-booting. Disabling the BMW bluetooth stops the problem. The BMW tech says it's a known Verizon issue. Of course Verizon knows nothing. Anyone have any insight into this?
I haven't seen anything on the forum about this. If I missed it, I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.
Thanks

My Ride: (USA) 645Ci, Silver Gray, Chateau, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, Sport PKG, Step, NAV [Std Equip in 645], HUD, Satellite (SIRIUS) Radio, Aux Input, Bluetooth enabled using iPhone 3GS w/ adapter cradle - Build date - 01/05, Baby delivered 2/24/05
Did a quick search using "Treo 650" Saw several reports of working 650s without any indication of your problem. More likely your phone than anything that I can tell. I assume you have latest softwere updates in your 650?

"As soon as Verizon came out with the 650 I got one of those. It pairs much better (i.e. less issues) and everything works faster than the Cingular version as well. Not to mention that Verizon's service is better in my area.
The speed dial buttons transferred first time.
I was actually using both phones for almost a month and I really prefer the Verizon one.
My $0.02 (and no, I have no ties to Verizon). "

"I picked up my Verizon Treo 650 on Wednesday, replacing my Moto 710. The Treo paired with the car on the first try and has worked perfectly since.
One minor quibble is that the car doesn't display all of the phone book entries -- it only displays contacts assigned to the Favorites buttons. This isn't a big deal for me, since I have all of my frequently-called numbers assigned to buttons anyway.
The voice commands work fine as well. Audio quality is very good, about on par with the 710."

download the car kit, even though it doesn't offically support the Treo it will resolve the re-boot issue.

What do you mean when you say "download the car kit"? Is this a Verizon thing, a Palm thing or a BMW thing? I just had the BMW bluetooth set up so I assume that is current.
Thanks
