Just got a new 710 today from Verizon, called customer service and they said it has the latest version which is 50295. Anyone else have this version, if so, any issues using it in the car? Have not tried it in my "wifes" car yet.

I bought my V710 about two weeks ago right after I took delivery of my 2005 545.
The phone paired perfectly. It instantly downloaded the phonebook and allowed me to voice dial from it. It will not recognize pause symbols in stored number sequences, however. Does anybody know how to do this?
Sorry I don't know the phone version. I did check the official BMW website listing this as the only officially compatible Verizon phone (with the footnote giving the necessary software version of the phone). I did check that this was what was on the current Verizon Moto V710 phone.

I got rid of my V710 and switched to Cingular last November because the phone was incompatible. My wife just got a new V710 and all of them sold now are fully compatible. Pairs perfectly and sounds great. Address book loads immediately.

Call your carriers customer service, ask for technical support and they'll look it up. Mine works great, got it yesterday.

I actually don't know. The salesperson did this infront of me and I was not paying attention to what menu he was using. When i tried it on my own, I could not find it. If you took it into a Verizon store, they could probably pull it up.

From the Main Menu, go to Phone Info . . . Other Information . . . S/W Version.

A friend has 8700_01.40R as software version. Is this newer or older than your 50295 and why are the numbering systems different? She is having problems with people hearing her in her E64.

Also for anyone. Has anyone had a v710 that did not work and then upgraded to get it to work?

Verizon said the latest version is 50295, the previous on e was 50293. 8700...does not sound like a software version. Dial *611, ask for Customer Support and they can look it up based on your contract / phone number.
