URGENT NEWS!!! iPhone OS4 DOES NOT WORK IN BMW CARKIT!

Part number 84 21 2 158 682 - snap in adaptor.
Tried 2x 3GS's one in my E60 and in a the new F10. Tried each adaptor and each iPhone in each car, neither of them worked
Took 50min to get a refund of £65 by BMW Scotthall (Eastleigh)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you mean it doesn't fit physically or that it doesn't pair with the bluetooth, or that it doesn't work for music playback?
I've had my 3GS on OS4 since it was released and it works just fine in my car for calls, and my dension kit had no problems with it. i don't use the snap in though, I got the spec dock instead.

you realize you have to connect some additional wiring in the center console for the power connection and jumper an antenna connection in the boot to get it to work, correct? there's quite a few parts that have to be added to a car to get the snap ins to work, even for the US cars.

The point of the snap in adaptor is that car has a built in antenna which boosts the phones signal whilst in dock. My phone works fine via bluetooth but the cradle since OS4 has been put on there dont wanna work no more.

Just Googled the part number. That part number refers to the 3G adapter. Not the 3Gs. The dimensions of these two phones are different. Only marginally, but they are different.
