Has anyone else out there tried using the MP3 capability of the Treo650 with the Aux input?

Up until a week ago, I used my Samsung MP3 player, which was OK but it was just another device rolling around in the car. I found an audio cable that has the 1/8" on one end and the mini-plug on the other.

The sound quality and volume output is better than my Samsung, it's one less device and works well with my mount.

I guess there's really no new information here. I just thought it was a good solution and I cna't figure out why I hadn't tried it before.

Good call. I just added a Treo to my gadget collection -- where'd you get the cable?

I think Radio Shack. I actually bought the wrong cable whan I first got the Aux input installed. I found it in my glovebox last week and thought - Hey, this will fit my Treo - and the rest is history.

realtyman, I ordered one of these adapters yesterday. You might want to get one so you can use your killer headphones...

Thanks!
Maybe I can use the earphones in the car when I'm driving.
Just think, better than the Logic7 and I won't hear the doors creaking.

Hey realtyman & Rudy -

Since you guys are both using the Treo 650, have you had any bluetooth connectivity issues?

My 650 easily connected to my 550 for the first few weeks but now I cannot get them to link, ever.

My wife's Razor works just fine in the 550. In fact, the other day she was sitting in her car in the driveway talking on her cell phone and I pulled in - the BMW captured her call as I went by and on into the garage. From about 30 feet away the bluetooth in the BMW still had her call, so I talked to her friend for a while. She was pissed!

I suspect that a third-party software (GoodLink) installed by our company is the cause. But I don't know the cure.

No connectivity issues with mine.
No GoodLink either.

The only problem that I have is when I get and or make a call while I'm starting the car (or have just started it). Then it's a cluster.

I haven't activated BT yet but I probably will during the next service (soon).
