I have been told by my Cingular Account Rep. the Treo 650 will not be out until 2nd week in Dec. I am on the short list to get one. When I get it, I am going to give it a try. Cingular doesn't even know if it will work. From what I know, I am the only E60 owner in So Ca. who is working with them to determine if the 650 is going to work. If anyone knows any different, please share.

It is highly unlikely that the Treo will operate with BMW bluetooth.
Cellular phones with Bluetooth operate with BMW. Handheld/PDA style devices seem to not work well with BMW, or at all.
I have tried with iPaq and BlackBerry. Neither will operate well. iPaq can connect sometimes, but will never allow control from the car. You must operate the PDA itself.
BlackBerry 7100t will pair up successfully, but will absolutely not operate. I tried for a week.
I can't be definitive about the Treo.... but I would be extremely surprised if it works.

I was just about to create a thread asking the same question...
I heard that the RAZR phone works, but I really love my Treo600, and if the 650 works, then I'll buy one of those.
My service rep told me I can bring my car in to activate the Bluetooth. I think I'll activate it anyway, and hold off on buying the phone until I hear that it works.
I'd hate to spend the $$ upgrading to the 650 to get Bluetooth and it not work.
