Thumbs up

Has anyone encountered this..?? I wonder if this has been fixed in a subsequest upgrade?

Here are the steps to reproduce (phone has been previously paired with car)..
1. Car locked, you are away from car, receive a call on your cell phone (just like any other call you receive on your cell phone)
2. Unlock car, start car, while still on the phone.
3. The call should transfer to the car automatically, but sometimes take at least 3 to 4 mins before the call transfers. During this transition you cannot hear the other person.
4. During this transition, if you (or the other person) hangs up, your phone and idrive will lock up. You cannot make or answer any calls anymore. Funny part is that if now, someone calls you, you will hear the ring through your car speakers but you cannot answer.

This has happened on more than one occasion to me. Annoying to say the least.

Don't know what kind of Cell phone that you have but I am using the Moto 815. The 3 or 4 mins that you describe seems rather long but what is happening is that your Cell Phone is finding your bluetooth connection. What I do under the same circumstances is that as soon as I start my car, while I am talking on my handset, I manually switch my Cell phone from hands free to my Cell Phone so I do not loose my call.
Once I see on I-Drive that the connection between my phone & E60 has been made I switch the call over to my car.

Shouldn't take 4 or 5 minutes to sync, what phone are you using?

It didn't take that long for me to sync with k800i. But what I'm wondering is that the bluetooth is still functioning even when I turned off the engine O_O.

I am using a Moto Razr from t-mobile. Sometimes its quicker syncing up and trasfering the call, but most of the time it takes so long, the other party hangs up, and then of course i-drive locks up and my phone locks up too.
