TCU Defective - E60 build date FEB-2004
#1
Hi,
I have a 2004 525I with build date Feb. 2004 and was looking at different options to install the Bluetooth. Fortunately after the software upgrade, TCU became defective. The problem now is that, dealer is saying that they will replace with an old model TCU under warranty and if I want the new model TCU which supports Bluetooth, and then I need to pay $2300.
But I have seen people replacing old model TCU with new model TCU under warranty if the current TCU is defective. Please help me to get a TCU with Bluetooth support.
Thanks.

23Hunge seems a little much. I was under the impression you could get the new TCU for about $1,700. One suggestion may be to pay the difference.

Thanks for everyone's help.
I got the new TCU for free and Bluetooth is working fine. Since I am using HP HW6500 PDA phone, I am not able to download the contacts...I might change my phone...
Thanks,
