How does one switch from bluetooth speakerphone to picking up & continuing the conversation privately on your cell phone. Is there a way without disabling bluetooth connectivity ? cell motov710

While on an active call via the car, you Motorola phone should display 2 options on the bottom of the screen (on the phone itself). One of them should be 'handset', this should switch your call back to the phone and will not turn 'off' BT connection.

Is this possible with other phones? I have a SonyEricsson T630.

On my V600, if I walk out of range of the car, the phone alerts me that the BT signal is bad, and it gives me the option of returning the call to the handset. Pain in the ass, but I just tell the person on the phone to hold on a minute - I get out of the car, lock it and then walk away until I get that option.

My SonyEricsson S710a would say something like "Retrieve call on phone" on top of one of the buttons whenever you were on a Bluetooth call. I can't confirm this now because a couple of months ago while on vacation I forgot it was in my swimsuit pocket and went into the pool, never realising it until 15 minute later. ............I'm looking for a used one on eBay now.

I was able to retreive the call onto my Nokia 6230 phone from an active call. So momentarily the call got transferred from the car to the phone. However, about 15 seconds later, the car took control of the call. I am not sure if this is a bug or it is normal for the car to steal it

I know in my bluetooth headset, I can switch the active calls back and forth between the phone and the headset and it will remain that way unless I change it manually.

Don't know about the Sony Ericsson...but most new Motorola's should work the same (mine is a V551).

I just had a chance to try something I've been meaning to attempt - which is to hit the menu button on my V600 during the call. Lo' and behold, there was an option to move the call back to the handset.

i also have SE T630 and i can not switch back to handset once i am on Bluetooth,my phone says "Bluetooth connection is busy",the only way i can do it is to shut the ignition of-then Bluetooth off-then restart the car-i do it sometimes while waiting for green light. I suppose i can go to Phone Menu in the CCC of the car but it would take longer and be more complicated.

And if u have a cradle it is even easier. A button on the eject box switches between phone and car. Once switched to phone you can remove from cradle and step out of car with phone to continue call.
