Forgive my ignorance, but I am currently using a BB 9700. In the past when I was using the iPhone to pair with my E60, the names came out as first name then last name: the way I wanted it, and the way it is set on my iPhone.

However, using the BB, my phone is set to first name, last name, but the contacts list comes out as last name, first name! This is completely counter-intuitive for me, as I remember first names better than last, and it is taking a hell of a long time searching for contacts.

As for voice commands to locate a contact, I have to now say it backwards!

Anyone can offer an explanation or help?

I have the opposite problem. Using an HTC EVO and have over 1,300 contacts. Mine is sorting by first name and I want last name. If I ever figure it out, I will let you know.
