My Ride: 95 M3 CAI, chipped, pulleys, Xbrace, doesn't give headaches every time I start up! 04 545i all the goodies INCLUDING HEADACHES!

Just purchased a 04 545i and tried to pair with my BB tour and nothing happens. The dealer options list shows BMW assist with Bluetooth. Is there any procedure posted anywhere that will let me know if the car is activated or how to pair? The i-drive menu lists phone and under it says no phone attached. There is no phone cradle in the care....

Download the manual for your car here ...

https://5series.net/information/

If your car is so equipped I'm sure you'll be able to find the instructions to pair your phone.

All true, but yes there is always a but, lol. I had the same exact car and I was able to pair my phone, get address book, make calls, hear calls but they could not hear me on the other end. Sucked because I was almost so happy that it worked.

Bottom line I had to replace the TCU with a new upgraded one. This is in case you run into this as well.

Good Luck and enjoy your ride....and some pictures would be nice!!!!!!!!!!

Depends when the car was built in '04. SIB is attached. Look at Point 4.
