I just changed my T610 to K700i. This was shown to be compatible as per the list of phones from X5world.net. However the problem I am facing is that it takes nearly 10 minutes to connect (with intermittent bursts of connection and disconnection) until you can make or receive a call. With the T610 it used to be instantaneous. Once connected it seems to work well with automatic phone book transfer. I am trying to find out from whether this is a known problem due to BMW software issues or a problem with my particular phone, in which case I could get it changed. Please help.

Sony Ericsson T68i erratic, connection & disconnection, searching network: cause old T68i firmware
Motorola V80 nice quick and stable connection, unfortunately no cradle or snap-in available
Motorola Razor R3 awesome but unfortunately no cradle or snap-in available
Siemens S65 nice quick and very stable, cradle or snap-in available
No one is dealing with SMS cause SMS on i-Drive are only allowed with fixed pro phone not bluetooth
Just my poor direct experience

Got my new 535D some weeks ago and bought a new K700i for the bluetooth connection. Phone is great and the connection with the car is perfect and stable. The only problem is that de phonebook in not copied into the car.
It is strange but on one occasion the phonebook was copied into the car and it worked well. But afterwards never again . But this means that it can or should work!
If I select a phonebooknr on the phone itself, the phone connection is automatically made via the car system and the phone stays quit.
Can anyone give a hint how i can get the phonebook taken over by the car?

I tried a K700i with my car yesterday, kept connecting/disconnecting. Going to get a Siemens phone as the salesman's worked perfectly.

For what it's worth - My K700 and my 5er works perfectly together - instant connection and the phonebook's always there in the car as it should. Just so you guys with problems knows that it CAN work together - just don't ask me what's wrong
Just waiting for that snap-in cradle to be available - anyone knows when/if it will be?

My K700i works perfectly with my car.
Phonebook was transfered automatically without problems.
Maybe you can try to send it to the car manually:
Contacts -> Options -> Advanced -> Send all contacts -> Via Bluetooth (choose BMW xxxxx, of course).
(Maybe the menu options are not exact, I'm using a spanish mobile...)
Hope it helps.
